According to the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, therapeutic massage on an animal may be performed by a non-veterinarian under general (i.e., indirect) supervision of a licensed veterinarian. A veterinary supervision form is required prior to an animal's first massage in order to be in compliance with Rule §573.14 of the Texas Administrative Code for the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.
