About Us

 Hi, I’m Alexis.

Animals have been at the center of my life and work for many years.

I began my career in animal shelters as a behavior consultant and dog trainer, helping animals and their families navigate behavior challenges and build stronger relationships. Over time, I came to understand that behavior is only one part of the picture true well-being also includes physical comfort, emotional balance, and compassionate care.

As I worked with senior pets, animals recovering from physical strain, and families facing end-of-life decisions, I felt called to support animals in a deeper way. That path led me into therapeutic bodywork, cold laser therapy, hospice and palliative support, and companion animal end-of-life doula work.

One of the things I value most about this work is meeting each animal exactly where they are. Some need support with mobility or recovery, some need comfort through aging, and others simply benefit from calm, intentional touch.

My education includes certification as a National Board-Certified Canine Massage Therapist, Certified Small Animal Massage Practitioner, Fear Free Certified Professional, Certified Professional Dog Trainer, and Certified Companion Animal End-of-Life Doula through UVM. I have also completed advanced coursework in animal behavior and continue expanding my training in therapeutic bodywork, including equine massage.

Companion Animal Wellness was created from a simple belief: every animal deserves comfort, dignity, and compassionate care.

It is an honor to support animals and the people who love them through every stage of life.
